Develops the artist's knowledge and skills with Oxyacetylene welding and cutting, SMAW (stick) welding, GMAW (wire) welding and TIG (gas tungsten) arc welding processes. Explores metal sculpture design and construction with supporting demonstrations, slides, lectures and films. Completion of ART 293 strongly recommended. No prior welding experience is required.
