This course builds on the foundational skills obtained by a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA). In addition to the basic CNA skills, this course is focused on knowledge and skills necessary to perform electrocardiogram, phlebotomy, and specific clinical laboratory duties. The content includes basic anatomy and physiology of the cardiac, pulmonary, and vascular systems. Technique, equipment and supplies used in telemtry, including information for interpreting rhythm strips, will be covered.
