2 hours credit. Prerequisite: A score at a pre-determined level in reading, writing, and math on a diagnostic instrument selected by the department. This course will enable the student to recognize and apply proper fundamentals of Oxy-Fuel welding. The student will learn about and practice with oxyacetylene welding equipment as well as practice with brazing and soldering. Safety practices are covered when working with welding equipment.
