This course is designed to acquaint the dental hygiene student with the various dental specialties and current trends in dental treatment. Guest lecturers, who are specialists in the field, will provide pertinent information and in some cases, supervise practical experiences during clinical rotation. Writing assignments, as appropriate to the discipline, are part of the course. 50 minutes per week. I credit hour.
