History of Modern Art is the study of the artists and major movements in contemporary painting and sculpture from the 19th Century to the present. A major theme of the course is how Modernism has shaped the world of art, the influence of culture on art, the influence of art on culture and how Post-Modernism has changed our outlook on art. Discussions of feminist and multi-cultural arts and artists round out the course.
