This course will present the student with the fundamentals of film studies and criticism. Topics to be covered include a brief history of cinema, screenwriting, film production and film criticism. Emphasis will also be given to the development of the technical vocabulary of film studies as well as experience with writing screenplays and film reviews. Prerequisite: ENGL 109. Offered: Occasionally.
