(Prerequisite: Minimum grade of C in MUS 1133 or a grade of "Pass" in part 1 of the Comprehensive Music Fundamentals Exam or consent of instructor; Corequisite: MUS 1211) A study of elementary harmony requiring a thorough background in Music Fundamentals, including all scales and keys. Emphasis is placed largely on writing and analysis of diatonic triads. Four-voice partwriting is introduced. (3 hr lecture)
