Provides the student with basic knowledge of notation, scales, keys, rhythm, intervals, triads, and their inversion. (3 hr lecture) NOTE: MUS 1133 is not the standard freshman theory course required for graduation from senior colleges and universities and is not offered to meet these requirements. Students taking MUS 1133 and planning to continue as music majors in a senior college should follow this course with Music Theory I - IV.
