Designed to introduce the student to a variety of creative experiences that are developmentally appropriate for the young child. Areas covered are planning and implementing activities that allow the child to explore and experiment with art, music, movement, and drama. Emphasis on allowing children freedom to choose and create at their own pace and style. Writing assignments, as appropriate to the discipline, are part of the course. 2 lecture and 2 lab hours per week. 3 credit hours.
