A laboratory course emphasizing scientific inquiry through selected concepts of biology, such as organization, function heredity, evolution, and ecology. Biological issues with personal and social implications will be introduced to enable students to make informed decisions. Writing assignments, as appropriate to the discipline, are part of the course. Prerequisite: Placement test or English 100 with a C or better, or Consent of Department Chairperson.
