This course provides an overview of the federal immigration system and the concepts and procedures of immigration law for the paralegal. It examines immigration law and regulations as well as practical applications in immigration law including the naturalization process, visa procedures, and the rights and obligations of aliens in the United States. Writing assignments, as appropriate to the discipline, are part of the course. Prerequisite: Completion of Business 223 and Business 220 with a grade of C or better. 150 minutes per week. 3 credit hours.
