- Continuation of Music 113. Further development of aural perception (melodic, rhythmic, and harmonic dictation) and abilities in sightsinging (single melodies and duets). Application of harmonic concepts at the keyboard. This course is the fourth in a four-semester sequence of courses in which music majors need to enroll each term of the freshman and sophomore year. The course may be offered separately or with one or more topics combined. Aural skills include sequential development of ear training, sight singing, and dictation, and may also include computerassisted instruction and/or other applications. Writing assignments, as appropriate to the discipline, are part of the course. Prerequisite: Music 113. 1 lecture and 2 lab hours per week. 2 credit hours.
