- A survey course of creative nonfiction in a variety of forms; personal narrative essays, true crime nonfiction novels, and first person cultural criticism. This course introduces students to a genre of literature, to practical approaches to the determination of literary meaning, and to the concerns of literature in general. Writing assignments, as appropriate to the discipline, are part of the course. Prerequisite: Placement test, or English 100 with a C or better, or Consent of Department Chairperson. (IAI code: H3 904) 150 minutes per week. 3 credit hours.
