This course is a project in WAN design. The class will include an overview of WAN technologies and WAN configurations on a Cisco router. The class involves the design, implementation, configuration and demonstration of a fully functional enterprise intranet including HTTP, FTP, NNTP, and e-mail services. Writing assignments, as appropriate to the discipline, are part of the course. Lab fee is required. Prerequisite: Networking Technologies 221 or the equivalent, or Consent of Department Chairperson. 2 lecture and 2 lab hours per week. 3 credit hours.
