- Introduction to the basic operations of programmable controllers, central circuit programming and industrial programmable controller applications used in automated manufacturing. Basic functions of addition, subtraction, multiplication, division and computer numbering systems such as binary, octal, hexadecimal, and binary coded decimals as applied to programmable logical controllers. The theory and application of programmable controllers will be studied in a laboratory setting. Writing assignments, as appropriate to the discipline, are part of the course. Prerequisite: EEIM 0515, EEIM 503, EEIM 504, EEIM 505, EEIM 506, EEIM 507, and EEIM 508. 3 credit hours.
