Serves as a beginning course in plane surveying. It covers horizontal distance measurement by pacing and chaining, care and use of total stations, theodolites, transits and levels, differential leveling, traversing, and basic construction surveying. Various instruction is given in procedures and surveying terminology. Calculation of bearings, azimuths and slope reduction is also covered in this comprehensive course. Prev.
