CO-REQUISITE: NUR-260; PREREQUISITE: NUR-141 and NUR-212; Min. grade C. This course focuses the advanced nursing student on the role of the professional registered nurse as care provider, teacher, manager, professional, and advocate in meeting the needs of adults across the life span. Utilizing the nursing process, the student is expected to integrate previous learning into this comprehensive medical-surgical nursing course with a body systems approach. The focus is on pathophysiology, related pharmacology, critical thinking, and collaborative care. The future RN will continue to learn to assist the family and patient in achieving optimal wellness in a variety of care settings. Clock Hours: 45 (LEC)
