			PREREQUISITE: OUT-211; Min. grade C-. Provides basic and intermediate sea kayaking skills. Students will learn boating skills, kayaking packing, safety evaluation and avoidance, navigation, terminology, basic paddle strokes, bracing, launching and landing in flat water, marine communication protocols, deep water wet exits and assisted/unassisted wet entries, safe and efficient kayak touring, leadership and judgment related to sea kayaking, rough water capsize procedures, towing, launching and landing in moderate surf, tides and currents, rough water assisted/ unassisted entries, Eskimo rolls, Maritime Rules of the Road, teaching techniques, safety, group management on the water, rescue, transporting injured boaters, and ethics.
