PREREQUISITE: NUR-101, NUR-104, NUR-121, NUR-140, and NUR-170; Min. grade . Provides the student with direct patient care experience using the simple to complex approach using the nursing process. It provides the student opportunities to apply learned theory and skills in meeting the nursing needs of adults across the life span. Utilizing the nursing process, the student is expected to integrate prior and current learning concepts to assist the patient and family in achieving optimal functioning. The clinical experience is designed to give students knowledge, understanding, and skills necessary for their role as care provider, teacher, and advocate as a health team member.
