PREREQUISITE: VET-100; Min. grade C. This course is designed to provide students with a basic knowledge of the equine. Topics include breeds of horses and their uses, general care of the horse, equine grooming and hoof care, nutrition and feeding of the horse, tack and tack care, equine leg care and basic lameness, equine disease, and vaccination. The format will include lectures and practical demonstrations with horses. A minimum grade of "C" is required in this course. Clock Hours: 22.5 (LECLB)
