This course presents the basic economic principles most closely related to the subject of money and banking in a context of related topics to strengthen knowledge and appreciation of the role of financial institutions in the functioning of the American economy. Emphasis is place on such problems as economic stabilization, limitations of central bank control, and government fiscal policy showing their repercussion on the banking industry. (3 hr lecture)
