(Pre-requisites: PNV 1213, PNV 1426, PNV 1436) This course is designed to prepare the practical nurse to perform the expanded role of IV therapy as outlined in the Mississippi Nursing Practice Law, Rules, and Regulations. The student, upon completion of the practical nursing program and successful passage of the licensure examination, is eligible to apply for IV certification as outlined in the above mentioned rules and regulations. (3 hr lecture, 2 hr. lab)
