Topics include: the nature and history of scientific thought, the scientific method, basic biological chemistry, cellular structure, cellular processes, cell division, and transmission genetics. This course is designed for non science-related majors, and DOES NOT SATISFY the prerequisite for more advanced courses. Three lectures. Two hours laboratory. Four hours credit.
