This course provides the knowledge, skills and techniques of drug administration in long-term care facilities as specified by the Department of Health & Senior Services. 60 hours lecture, 8 hours clinical practice and 2 hours final clinical practicum. Fee for practicum and certification not included in course fees. NOTE: Students must be high school graduates or equivalent, score 75% on BEST or TABE test, be a C.N.A. and have been employed in a nursing home or intermediate care facility for one year or have a letter of recommendation from their employer to enroll.
