This course is designed to introduce the student to the physiologic, psychologic and sociologic aspects of the normal ageing process. Emphasis is placed primarily on the biological aspects of ageing.However, interpersonal relations, retirement and socioeconomic factors impacting and impacted by the ageing population are explored. Clinical experience in geriatrics is included in the medical-surgical clinical rotations. (F)
