Prerequisite: Concurrent Enrollment in ED 0932 Infant and Toddler Lab This course id designed for teachers, child care professionals, and other adults working with infants and toddlers in care giving settings including child care centers, family child care homes, and home-based child services such as Early Head Start. It will be taken concurrently with the Infant and Toddler Lab course. The course will focus on respectful care giving of infants and toddlers - a concept introduced and promoted by Magda Gerber and widely taught throughout the United States in Wes Ed PITC (Program for Infant Toddler Care) institute trainings. Emphasis on child care routines as curriculum for infants and toddlers is a core concept in this course.
