Prerequisite: RC 5800 Fundamentals of Respiratory Care I RC 5803 Fundamentals of Respiratory Care II RC 5250 Respiratory Care Pharmacology RC 5255 Clinical Practice I RC 5258 Clinical Practice II RC 5802 Cardiopulmonary Anatomy and Physiology I RC 5252 Respiratory Care Topics and Procedures I RC 5821 Introduction to Mechanical Ventilation RC 5809 Pediatric Respiratory Care This course includes an in-depth study of mechanical ventilation for adult, pediatric, and neonatal patients. Conventional methods of ventilation, as well as newer modalities are addressed. This course includes a laboratory with competency evaluations.
