Observation and guidance of children's behavior emphasized. Students become acquainted with career opportunities in child development and education. Field experiences in the community include recreation/ sports programs, preschool, kindergarten, and elementary classrooms, special education programs, childcare programs at a day care center or family day care home, or private nursery school.
