Introduces students to current trends in leadership and management concepts affecting the healthcare continuum and the practice of nursing. The student assumes the role of provider, manager of care, and member of the discipline at the entry level ito professional nursing. There is a practicum for application which may occur across the healthcare continuum, as the student manages groups of clients and health care personnel. The course will facilitate transition from student to the role of the graduate nurse. 5 credits (1.5 credits theory=22.5 contact hours; 3.5 credits clinicial=105 contact hours).
