5 credits Prerequisite: ART 276 or ART 117 and ART 277. Designed for students with prior sculpture training who desire to learn the method and theory of the lost-wax foundry casting process. Students will gain the experience of using wax as the direct sculptural medium, preparing the sculpture for casting, and the foundry processes of burnout, melting, and pouring. Repeatable.
