12 credits Prerequisite: Minimum reading score: 68. Comprehensive skills necessary for the fabrication of metal products. This course introduces basic blueprint reading and shop fabrication techniques, shielded metal arc, wire drive, and gas tungsten arc welding processes. These skills are learned in the context of assigned and graded practice projects. Students may also have the opportunity to practice these skills in the production of actual metal products, some of which may be marketed.
