4 credits Prerequisite: MTH 020 or equivalent content with a grade of "C-"or better or pass a placement test through the Testing Office. Prerequisite grades or test scores must have been completed within the past four terms. If you have taken a higher level math course than this and passed the course with a "C-" or better, you may not use this course for your degree/certificate requirements. This is a pre-algebra level course in professional-technical mathematics used in chemistry, dosage computation, and other science-related courses. Topics include unit conversions, metrics, scientific notation, significant figures, rates, proportions, percent applications, graphs, algebra of units, and logarithms for pH. May be offered through Distance Learning.
