3 credits Prerequisite: MFG 210 or instructor consent Utilization of the basic Esprit CAM software skills learned in MFG 210 applied to programming CNC lathes. Primary emphasis is on 2 axis turning centers. Introduction to CAM for multiple spindle, multiple axis turning centers. Orientation to CAM for milling complex 3D surfaces and mold cavities which will be further developed in MFG 212. Demonstration of the CAD/CAM/CNC process workflow using Esprit software to create machine code for the LCC machining center. This course will be presented by means of lectures, demonstrations, and hands-on experience.
