1-4 credits Prerequisite: MTH 065 or equivalent courses with a grade of "C-" or better, or pass a placement test through the Testing Office. Prerequisite grades or test scores must have been completed within the past four terms. If you have taken a higher level math course and passed the course with a "C-" or better, you may not use this course for your degree/certificate requirements. Offered as a variable credit (1-4) course using tutorial materials for self-paced study in a resource center setting (MRC). Instructor permission to enroll is required for self-paced study. This permission can be obtained at the MRC on the first day of classes or just prior to the beginning of the term. This is the third course of a one-year sequence in algebra (follows MTH 060 and MTH 065). Topics include function concept, polynomials, inequalities, rational equations, exponents, quadratic functions, radicals, and an introduction to exponential and logarithmic functions. MTH 090 satisfies the prerequisite for College Algebra, MTH 111 and satisfies the Associate of Applied Science degree requirements for several Lane programs.
