8 credits This course is designed to prepare the student in a course of study of basic level nursing care and skills. The course curriculum is established by the Oregon State Board of Nursing. Individuals satisfactorily completing all requirements of this course are eligible to sit for the Oregon State Board of Nursing competency examinations. The course includes both didactic and clinical instruction and evaluation. A criminal background check is required for each student and fingerprinting may be required. Enrollment restricted to pre-nursing and pre-respiratory care students.
