6 credits Prerequisite: Acceptance into Respiratory Care Program or consent of instructor. This course is the last in a sequence of four courses addressing the development of skills in respiratory care patient assessment, application of therapeutic modalities in the treatment of respiratory disorders and development of professional attitudes and behaviors in the clinical setting. Emphasis is on respiratory care in the critical care setting, polysomnography, and other diagnostic studies. Assignments include neonatal and pediatric respiratory care, sleep study, and pulmonary function study. Note: This version of the course will be offered through Winter 2009.
