4 credits This course introduces students to some of the major religious traditions of China, Japan and other East Asian cultures, such as Buddhism, Confucianism, Taoism and Shinto. The central beliefs and practices of these traditions may be approached historically, culturally and/or through their essential wisdom teachings and how these apply to daily life. Emphasis will vary by instructor.
