This post-production course focuses on the theory and art of non-linear video editing, log and capture footage, three-point editing, trimming, motion effects, audio mixing, and exporting digital file formats for the web, CD, video and DVD authoring. The course emphasizes the aesthetics of editing, including continuity, pacing, and dramatic structure. Prerequisite: ENG 21 or ENG 22 or equivalent, with a grade of C or better, or consent of instructor. Rec Preparation: DMED 130.
