This course introduces digital video production techniques including: camera operation and procedures, basic principles and techniques of sound and digital video editing. Course topics include the operation of digital prosumer camcorders, lighting and sound equipment, the concepts and techniques of nonlinear digital editing with emphasis on the principles and aesthetics of film and video editing. Prerequisite: ENG 21 or ENG 22 or equivalent, all with a grade of C or better, or consent of instructor. Rec Preparation: DMED 130.
