This course is designed to create an awareness of the problems of abuse, violence and sexual assault, to explore intervention strategies, and to identify community resources (medical, legal, and counseling services) which attempt to deal with these issues. In addition, the course provides individuals with an opportunity to explore their own personal feelings and values related to norms and trends in regards to family violence in our society. Prerequisite: ENG 22 with a grade of C or better or equivalent.
