Introduces the student to the concepts of data communications, telecommunications, and networking. It provides a conceptual view of networking and will bring together the acronyms, protocols, and components used in today's networks. It is the fundamental portion for the Basic Certificate in Computer Networking, designed to specifically provide the student with a practical and comprehensive working knowledge of networking. Prerequisite: ICS 100 and MATH 103 or concurrent, or equivalent, or consent of instructor. Rec Preparation: ICS 125.
