An introduction to the science of physics through topics selected from mechanics, thermodynamics, electricity and magnetism, relativity, atomic and/or nuclear physics. Emphasis will be placed on understanding basic principles and concepts. Simple algebra will be used. This course is a terminal physics course for non-science majors. A pocket calculator is required. (DP) Three lecture and three lab hours per week. Prerequisite: two years of high school algebra or MATH 103 or equivalent.
