Delivers theory, knowledge, and skills required for audio acquisition and recording as applied to film and television production. Audio theory, microphones, pickup patterns, frequency and amplitude, digital and analog signals, mixers, recording techniques, production audio devices, Foley, channels and tracks, sound effects, music, troubleshooting, mixing, and monitoring equipment are emphasized. Prerequisite: TVPR 101 may be taken concurrently or instructor's approval. Corequisite: TVPR 126, 136, & 151 or instructor's approval. Rec Preparation: English 100 or higher, and Math 100 or higher.
