A lecture course designed to build an understanding of the fundamental principles of drug action; the application of specific drugs in the treatment of disease; normal and abnormal responses of the patient to drug therapy; and the appropriate nursing actions to achieve the desired outcome of drug therapy. A required course for all nursing students. Prerequisite: BIOC 241 and ZOOL 241 with a grade of C or better or equivalent. Rec Preparation: BIOC 251.
