Techniques of aquatic instruction, including community water safety and progression swimming are covered in this class. Prerequisite: The student must be at least 17 years of age and possess proficient swimming skills to include: front crawl, back crawl, elementary backstroke and breaststroke. American Red Cross certification is possible. Must pass written/skill pretest. Must perform at the American Red Cross swimming level. This class teaches the student to be a swimming instructor. Swimsuit and fee required. 1 hour lecture, 2 hours lab
