Students provide comprehensive dental hygiene care of patients in the MCC Dental Hygiene Clinic under direct supervision. Focus is continued on instrumentation skills and radiography for patients of all ages. Didactics include discussion of personalized patient education, dental adjuncts and maintenance schedule, as well as treatment of patients with specialized needs (oral cancer, blood disorders, cardiovascular disease and diabetes). 1 hour lecture, 12 hours clinic.
