Lecture on rules and techniques in softball. This course is a theoretical study of softball from a coaching and playing standpoint. It is designed to teach the fundamentals necessary to coach or play softball. The basic skills and techniques are explained, demonstrated and practiced in drill sessions. The ultimate goal is for the student to be able to play an enjoyable game of softball as a recreational activity or to coach the game. Emphasis will be placed on the game of fast pitch.
