This course is an introduction to the scientific study of human behavior and focuses on the major schools of thought in psychology, including psychoanalytic theory, behaviorism, cognitive psychology, and humanistic theory as well as the biological foundations of behavior. It includes such topics as the history and research methods used in psychology; growth and development; principles of learning; sensation and perception; thinking; statistics; personality; the nervous system; psychopathology; and intelligence. 3 hours lecture
