Structural section, terms and conventional abbreviations and symbols used by structural fabricators and erectors are studied. Knowledge is gained in the use of the A.I.S.C. Handbook. Problems are studied that involve structural designing and drawing of beams, columns, connections, trusses and bracing. Both lecture and lab are required. Prerequisite: DDT 2253 Statics and Strength of Materials, DDT 2343 Advanced CAD and DDT 1613 Architectural Drafting. 1 hour lecture, 4 hours lab.
