After recognizing the movement and gait patterns of the horse, students will learn to approach the horse and use proper farrier/trimmer positioning to make the animal comfortable. The student will then use farrier and hoof care tools to exfoliate the foot/sole before completing hoof mapping and trimming on several different horses. Corequisiste EQ 130.
